NHS Charities Together
NHS Charities Together represents, champions and supports the work of 240 member NHS Charitable Trusts. HorseHeard, working in partnership with Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust (BHT), has received funding to co-design a much-needed equine facilitated learning programme which will have a positive impact on children’s mental health and their families. The programme is being developed with Buckinghamshire NHS Trust, Buckinghamshire Council and local head teachers with the aim of supporting the local community and reducing NHS waiting lists. The funding is to support the vulnerable in the wider community, helping them explore their emotions and mindset, and providing them with different self-management strategies in order to thrive.
The Provision:
The funding is for the delivery of sessions with the aim of supporting 500+ individuals. Our programs are built on a bespoke basis depending on the needs of the participants and several channels are being developed.
